SATURN inflatable boats and rafts are made of 1,100 Dtex New Generation
PVC fabric with a polyester support having excellent resistance to tearing,
tension and breaking.
PVC vs Hypalon? While Hypalon is a good choice of fabric for inflatable
boats that will be used in commercial environment, or every day at extreme
weather conditions, our PVC fabric is economical and reliable alternative to
expensive Hypalon. PVC is easier to fix, it hold air better, it cost less, and new
generation of PVC is almost as tough as Hypalon. Hypalon has a very good
UV-resistance, however PVC treated with 303 Aerospace Protestant available
at West Marine stores and other retailers will match UV protection
characteristics of Hypalon.
SATURN inflatable boats and rafts are hand-sealed at
the seams for perfect seaming-the most expensive and
reliable method used today.  Each seam is
strengthened with four layers of bonded fabric for
maximum strength and durability. SATURN seams are
virtually indestructible and will not fall apart even after
many years of use in any weather.
